One of my cats likes to play with plastic water bottle caps. Whenever I bring a bottle to my desk and set the cap down, she jumps onto the desk, bites the cap, and runs off with it. I'm constantly finding them all over the house. It's really cute.

Obama 2008!

(no subject)

When George W. Bush was elected, I was a senior in college. I had read the 4 Harry Potter books that summer. I had never read Lord of the Rings and had no plans to do so. It's weird, but today I'm thinking of Bush's eight years in those personal, small, insignificant terms instead of in terms like Iraq, Katrina, the economy, 9/11, etc. When I think of the big things, it doesn't seem like a long time. When I think of my own little life, it feels like ages.

There isn't a point to this post. In case you were wondering. ;-D

I just hope that Obama is the President I think he can be.

Obama 2008!

(no subject)

So happy and proud and... just... !!!

I signed up on barackobama.com on the day he announced his candidacy almost two years ago, when the website kept crashing because they hadn't prepared for such an onrush of visitors. I watched his numbers go from impossible to 297. And I have no words for the thrill I feel right now.

*hugs the whole world*

Pluggy plug:

I went to high school with Kajal Mehta, a really wonderful person and a beautiful dancer. If you have a minute, please follow this link, make an account on the site (takes like 2 seconds), and vote for her video.

Thanks!

fangirl!!!1!!

(no subject)

For the past year or so, I've felt so lonely for fandom. I miss the excitement of Harry Potter and LotR releases. I miss writing fanfiction. I just miss it all. And it's not like I'm not a fan of things anymore... I still love those things, and new ones besides (The Office, Twilight, etc.). But I'm just not "into" those fandoms.

Does anyone else feel fandom-less this way? :(

Not to copycat every other female on the planet, but Edward Cullen? Is totally hot.

I need fanfic recs, people. I just read "Heart of Darkness" - which was a great fic, but it ended maddeningly in the middle of the story. Please to give DeeDee recs.

The Office-Pam smile

(no subject)

Hey, question for anyone who has season 2 of The Office on DVD. Or anyone who knows the answer...

Excluding the episode commentaries, are all the special features on the last disc? Or are they spread over all the discs? I'm asking because I want to see the deleted scenes in particular, so I want to add the appropriate disc to my Netflix queue.

Same question for season 3 while I'm at it. :D

Thanks!

Another short Jim/Pam missing moment (kind of). Not as happy, either. It's a Monday story. :-/

I guess you could call this a long drabble. Or a ficlet-let. Jim/Pam, obviously. Missing moment. :D

This might sound weird - and there's no reason for me to know this - but that mixed berry yogurt you're about to eat has expired. )
