"When two Neptunes appear in the sky, it's a sure sign that a midget in glasses is being born." -Ron, GoF

Hi! Basics? I'm 31. INFJ with T tendencies. Type 4w5. Penguin. Virgo. Writer. Archivist in the Special Collections department at Mississippi State. Daughter of two high school teachers. Eldest of four siblings. Crazy cat lady. If you want to know more about me, you can go here. =)

I worship Jane Austen and also love fanfiction, movies, tinkering with my websites, and wasting time on Facebook. Fandoms I love and talk about to varying degrees: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Patrick O'Brian (Master and Commander), Firefly/Serenity, House, The Office, Bones, True Blood, and the Sookie Stackhouse books.

I used to be a LiveJournal addict, but now I just maintain this account to keep up with people and communities. I don't post here anymore.

"I have claimed that Escape is one of the main functions of fairy-stories.... Why should a man be scorned if, finding himself in prison, he tries to get out and go home? Or if, when he cannot do so, he thinks and talks about other topics than jailers and prison walls? The world outside has not become less real because the prisoner cannot see it. In using escape in this way the critics have chosen the wrong word, and, what is more, they are confusing, not always by sincere error, the Escape of the Prisoner with the flight of the Deserter." -Tolkien, Tree and Leaf

"Librarians are hiding something." -Stephen Colbert
